In chefs Suzanne Goin and David Lentz’s garden we have planted many varieties of citrus. David is making garden inspired cocktails at his delicious restaurant, The Hungry Cat. Recipe for David’s blood orange negroni below;
the blood orange negroni
1 oz Plymouth Gin
.75oz Carpano Antica Vermouth
.75 Campari
.5oz blood orange juice
Rosemary
GLASSWARE: Double Old Fashioned or Coupe
GARNISH: Blood Orange twist
Muddle a small pinch of rosemary in mixing glass. Add remaining
ingredients. Stir until properly chilled. Glass should be very cold to touch.
Strain (finely to remove rosemary) over fresh ice or up in a Coupe.
